Welcome, to the final single digit episode of The Music Enthusiast Podcast (’cause next week I hit the big 1-0)! On the first half of this show I cover a little bit of everything. We kick things off with the spectacular Denton based singer/songwriter, Doug Burr. I play a song from a alternative/indie/rock band from Toronto, The Heartbroken, before getting in your face with some metal, supplied by Down From Zero, and wrap things up with a rock song by 4Q. Plus I go over the concert calendar for the upcoming week.

WBR #117 – Whitney Houston, Rains & Done Deal!

What do Pop icon Whitney Houston, Rock group Rains and Texas Rockers Done Deal have in common?  They are the ONLY TOPICS we cover in this episode.. not really, but we make a lot of Dead Whitney Jokes!  We play an interview with Jeff Rains, frontman of the nationally touring group RAINS, (we find out Jeff’s preference involving Boxers or Briefs, Beer or Liquor and Tits or Ass!) then we play their killer tune “Look in My Eyes”, special guest hosts are the band Done Deal… all chilling with us on Skype and bringing an interesting twist to the show.  We talk Whitney Houston, Crack Hoes, Flu Epidemics, Chipmunk masturbation and SO much more… along with a tune from Done Deal!

In the second hour we have the return of Love Poems with Tank and we play ‘Would you rather’ with Done Deal… see who wants to stick an electric eel up their ass!  Plus i’m pretty sure we mention McCaully Culkin havin THE AIDS… and we all joke about him snorting Whitney Houston’s dead body.  AND we uncover the terrifying truth to Michael Jackson’s death.  We also talk about how the Catholic church really picks the pope! The Music Enthusiast Podcast # 8 – The Music Submit Show (Part 2)

It’s another month, so, are you all ready for another Music Submit show? I hope so, because on the first half of the show I showcase five more bands I’ve discovered through the website, which includes some tunes from Victoria Celestine, Particle Wave, The Halfbreed Lovers, Steven Graves, and Radiolab.

The second half of the show begins a bombardment of only Texas based rock groups, and is kicked off by Black Tie Vendetta. Some songs by Feel Never Real, Krash Rover, The Red 100′s and Secret of Boris follow to round it out.

The Music Enthusiast Podcast # 7 – It’s Interview Time

Welcome to another edition of The Music Enthusiast Podcast. On this episode I play my first band interview I’ve done, which is with the band Night Gallery, and you get to hear about the first half of it on the first part of the show. I also play some songs from a couple Dallas bands, The Blurries, and Gray, the New Black, and even a band all the way from Calcutta, India, Ifs and Buts.

Over in the Dark Side I play the rest of the Night Gallery interview, followed by some songs from Smile Smile, Shaolin Death Squad, The Mermaid Purse, and Dove Hunter.

WBR #115 – Fish Tits!

It’s a cluster fuck… but it’s MY cluster fuck, folks!  Not even really sure what happened to this show… it was a wild ride and I’m sure you will enjoy it!  We have a cautionary tale in our interview with Secret of Boris, we play music from TrebucheT and The House Harkonnen, we’ve got jokes, stories, bullshit, beer, more tit and rib talk and a little bit recorded with Jordan (the Music Enthusiast) at Club Dada for Escaping the Ordinary’s Vol. 3 release show.  Neighbor Lance becomes Producer Lance and a whole lot more on this show!

The Music Enthusiast Podcast # 6 – The Ladies in Music

Welcome all to another installment of The Music Enthusiast Podcast! For the first half of the show I decided to showcase some female fronted bands or singers, and play some tunes from Sierra Noble, Jessie Frye, Zoe Ann, and The Virgin Wolves. I also cover all the upcoming events in the D-FW area for the weekend, so if you need plans, listen up.

On the Dark Side of the show I do my second ever album review (which you get to hear here FIRST!), this time of Moving Atlas’s new EP, “Machina”, as well as spin a song from it. WBR #114 – Ribs & Titties!

It’s the premier of the NEW Thursday night show!  Starting this week the full WhiskeyBoy Radio show moves to Sunday… Thursday nights is now the place for our NEW show, The Double Shot Podcast!  In this show we give you a preview of the new show format… it’s a quick 45 minutes, we cover 2 topics, we have 2 hosts, we play a song in the middle and it’s all fast, in your face, dirty and funny!

Tonight we talked about how bbq ribs and titties are the same thing… then we get into a GREAT talk about our new creation “BOOBY RUBBED RIBS” and how we are going to shoot the first BBQ BOOBY RIB video!  It’s going to be epic! Also, after playing a killer Bullet for my Valentine song, we get into a description of a pimple that was on my ass… and how it’s like life’s problems!  At the end of the show we discuss how much fun we will be having when WBR: East Coast member Zoe Starr dies.  It’s going to be lovely!
