The Music Enthusiast Podcast #60 – “…You’re Fighting a Battle You Can’t Win…”

I have basically no topics to open this show with, which means we get to the music rather quickly, which includes some songs from Night Gallery, The Bright and The Auxiliary Voice. I then go over the concert calendar for the week, and then get back to the music with a MusicSubmit.com band,  4Q, while  Bethan and Responsible Johnny round out the show.

Enjoy everybody, and thanks for listening!

WBR #138 – WhiskeyBoy’s Party Line

Phenomenal show, bitches!  This show has EVERYTHING – shout outs, jokes, sex toys, Olympics, music, odd jobs, stoned podcasters, conspiracies and MORE!  We feature music from 3 of the bands that are playing WhiskeyBoy Radio’s Broadcasting for Boobies, August 4th at Tomcat’s West in Fort Worth: Triple SP, Meridian & Night Gallery.  We start the show talking about what an epic party this week is going to be, with birthdays and benefit shows.  We do shout outs to listeners AND an update to the WhiskeyBoy vs Jeff Rains grudge!  We spend some time talking about the 2012 Olympics in London and then move on to a NEW bit, Titled: “Jeremy’s Pissy Moment of the Week”.. where he let’s us know what’s got him in a hissy!  We then talk about Gay Tards, Bunny Crushing, Odd Jobs, and Sex Toys… somewhere in there we talk about Stoner GPS systems and make fun of Chrys Starr’s recent date night!  We wrap the show with a call from all 6 of the cast members of the WBR: East Coast show, in which Mizz Kellie expresses her love and desire for some hot WhiskeyBoy action!  We then talk sex toys and the list of sexual activities we’d like to try with none other than Zoe Starr.  All in all it’s a FANTASTIC show and well over 2 hours of GLORIOUS entertainment!

The Music Enthusiast Podcast #32 – “…The Gloves Come Off, But You Have No Words to Throw…”

Most of episode 32 of the TME podcast is spent promoting the Broadcasting for Boobies benefit show WhiskeyBoy Radio & RYA Entertainment are presenting. That means playing some music from Red Angel Theory, Triple SP, The Devils Bards, Meridian and Night Gallery, all of whom will be playing the event on August 4th. Then, to wrap up the show, I play a couple of touring bands, Deadbeat Darling and Thrift Store Cowboys.

It’s a nice array of music that I hope you will like, and thank you for listening to the show!

The Music Enthusiast Podcast #27 – “…I’d Give My Skin Just to Fit In…”

Have you heard of Night Gallery? Did you know they were releasing their new album THIS coming weekend?! If the answer is yes, then you’ll love this show. If the answer is no, well, hopefully you’ll quickly become a fan. Along with one of their songs, I play a tune from Meridian and Daylight Industries, who will be sharing the stage with Night Gallery this Saturday at The Curtain Club. Some Oddlot brings us into the concert calendar for the week, and afterwards the second part of the show begins.

I owe MusicSubmit.com for hearing about The Modern Traditional and Flight 505, while I came across Beyond the Epilogue on Noisetrade.com And, just like last weeks show, I decide to end things with a FEDS song.

While you’re listening, please fill out this LISTENER SURVEY for us.

Thanks for listening, everyone! I hope you enjoy the show!

Not only do you get to hear great tunes from both CoR and BlameShift but we also give you some new songs from Night Gallery and Daylight Industries.

The Music Enthusiast Podcast #23 – SpaceCamp / The Tide Cometh

Here we are folks, with the BIGGEST and BEST TME Podcast to date!! In fact, the show is so huge, it requires two show titles!

Nearly two hours are dedicated to an interview with Jeremy Rodriguez talking about his newer project, SpaceCamp. So if you want to know about this fantastic musician, this is well worth a listen.

We go over such basic questions as what got him into music (both in general and the local scene) and why he choose to be a hip-hop artist, where the name SpaceCamp came from, his weekly webseries on Youtube, a tattoo shop/music venue in Waco called Art Ambush, and a ton of other stuff in between. Point is, if there’s something you want to know about this guy, there’s a good chance we cover it.

We play a few SpaceCamp songs here and there, as well as some local bands that influenced Jeremy, which include The Vanished, SouthFM, The Orange, Greatness in Tragedy, Paco Estrada, Auto Escape and The FEDS.

I added a little more to the show after I got back to my place (just listen to the show to see why it had to be recorded on location), including a tune by Arielle O’Keefe, who has a show coming up this week, go over the concert calendar, and then premier the brand new single from Night Gallery, “The Tide”!!!

I want to thank Jeremy once more for wanting to do an interview and then letting me record it at his place. You rock, man! And also thanks to Night Gallery for letting me debut that new single!

Visit SpaceCamp on the following sites: Official website / Facebook / Twitter / Youtube / Reverbnation

Thanks to everyone who takes time to listen, and I hope you have as much fun listening to this episode as I had recording it! Also, please take this listener survey while you listen to the show. Thanks!

The Music Enthusiast Podcast #22 – “All We Had I Buried In the Snow…”

Here’s another episode that features predominately Texas bands, beginning with one of my personal favorites, Descender. A song from Here Holy Spain follows, and then Terra Stigma and White Elephant, before taking time out to go over the concert calendar. The second half begins with RTB2, and then some stellar tunes from The Bright Light Social Hour, Kill Clouseau, Night Gallery and Forty Percent.

Most of those Texas based acts have shows coming up this week, so if you like them, try to see ‘em live, and of course check out their albums (which are linked below).

Thank you all for listening, and don’t forget to take our SURVEY when you have a few moments. Thanks!
