I have basically no topics to open this show with, which means we get to the music rather quickly, which includes some songs from Night Gallery, The Bright and The Auxiliary Voice. I then go over the concert calendar for the week, and then get back to the music with a MusicSubmit.com band, 4Q, while Bethan and Responsible Johnny round out the show.
Chrys is back in Pennsylvania and WhiskeyBoy is alone in the studio, it’s back to normal life… BUT FIRST, we take a look at the past week and all the glorious fun that was had, including: Bull riding by Starr, Shotguns, Boobies, podcasting, returning news girls, Six Flags, local musicians, and big changes for the station. We even cover a few quick news topics. It’s a great show, where Chrys and Whiskey wrap up the whole Broadcasting for Boobies weekend of events and say “See ya later” to some bitches we don’t need anymore! Enjoy the show – Tell your Mom I said HI!
Phenomenal show, bitches! This show has EVERYTHING – shout outs, jokes, sex toys, Olympics, music, odd jobs, stoned podcasters, conspiracies and MORE! We feature music from 3 of the bands that are playing WhiskeyBoy Radio’s Broadcasting for Boobies, August 4th at Tomcat’s West in Fort Worth: Triple SP, Meridian & Night Gallery. We start the show talking about what an epic party this week is going to be, with birthdays and benefit shows. We do shout outs to listeners AND an update to the WhiskeyBoy vs Jeff Rains grudge! We spend some time talking about the 2012 Olympics in London and then move on to a NEW bit, Titled: “Jeremy’s Pissy Moment of the Week”.. where he let’s us know what’s got him in a hissy! We then talk about Gay Tards, Bunny Crushing, Odd Jobs, and Sex Toys… somewhere in there we talk about Stoner GPS systems and make fun of Chrys Starr’s recent date night! We wrap the show with a call from all 6 of the cast members of the WBR: East Coast show, in which Mizz Kellie expresses her love and desire for some hot WhiskeyBoy action! We then talk sex toys and the list of sexual activities we’d like to try with none other than Zoe Starr. All in all it’s a FANTASTIC show and well over 2 hours of GLORIOUS entertainment!

We talk about the most random and bizarre shit on this, completely unscripted, episode of The Double Shot Podcast. WhiskeyBoy goes ON and ON about his distain for life at this very moment, Starr hits a few rants and Producer Lants (in his FINAL in-studio show) has a great show. We play music from the KILLER D/FW group Night Gallery and we talk about random shit… that’s about it! I’m posting this show 4 days after it was recorded… sorry, fuck off! >LOL< ANYWAY… fun episode folks, featuring music from Nothing More and Night Gallery. Several topics are covered: Male / Female equality, Weird Schools, Dirty word of the Day, Paradoxes to mess with your mind and an entire half of the show devoted to the topic of SEX! We’ve got sex news, sex deaths, sex laws, sex jokes, sex bombs and other sex stuff… then emails from our insane listeners. It’s a good show… enjoy it and tell your friends!
Have you heard of Night Gallery? Did you know they were releasing their new album THIS coming weekend?! If the answer is yes, then you’ll love this show. If the answer is no, well, hopefully you’ll quickly become a fan. Along with one of their songs, I play a tune from Meridian and Daylight Industries, who will be sharing the stage with Night Gallery this Saturday at The Curtain Club. Some Oddlot brings us into the concert calendar for the week, and afterwards the second part of the show begins.
TorchCast Episode 8 – Random interviews - In the 8th installment I am left without a co-host and without a band to sit down and interview so i take matters into my own hands and debut a new segment called “RANDOM INTERVIEWS”. Throughout the show you hear interviews with local band The Circle, Lubbock TX based Colossus of Rhodes and Long Island, New York based BlameShift! Not only do you get to hear great tunes from both CoR and BlameShift but we also give you some new songs from Night Gallery and Daylight Industries.
“Hanging Fire” from Daylight Industries can be found on their debut album “The Future Of Illusion” which will be released on June 30th at The Curtain Club in Dallas TX. Stay tuned to their facebook page for info on how to get a copy if you don’t live in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area
“The Tide” from Night Gallery can be found on their album “Loud As The Sun” which will also be released on June 30th at The Curtain Club in Dallas TX. Stay tuned to their facebook page for info on how to get a copy if you don’t live in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.
“Love Is Fading Out” and “Revolution” by Colossus Of Rhodes can be found on their album “Stay Oblivious” which can be found at live shows and on Itunes
“Ghost” and “Figure Out A Way” by Blameshift can be found on “The Black Rose” EP which is available via Itunes, their web store and at shows
Here we are folks, with the BIGGEST and BEST TME Podcast to date!! In fact, the show is so huge, it requires two show titles!
Nearly two hours are dedicated to an interview with Jeremy Rodriguez talking about his newer project, SpaceCamp. So if you want to know about this fantastic musician, this is well worth a listen.
We go over such basic questions as what got him into music (both in general and the local scene) and why he choose to be a hip-hop artist, where the name SpaceCamp came from, his weekly webseries on Youtube, a tattoo shop/music venue in Waco called Art Ambush, and a ton of other stuff in between. Point is, if there’s something you want to know about this guy, there’s a good chance we cover it.
We play a few SpaceCamp songs here and there, as well as some local bands that influenced Jeremy, which include The Vanished, SouthFM, The Orange, Greatness in Tragedy, Paco Estrada, Auto Escape and The FEDS.
I added a little more to the show after I got back to my place (just listen to the show to see why it had to be recorded on location), including a tune by Arielle O’Keefe, who has a show coming up this week, go over the concert calendar, and then premier the brand new single from Night Gallery, “The Tide”!!!
I want to thank Jeremy once more for wanting to do an interview and then letting me record it at his place. You rock, man! And also thanks to Night Gallery for letting me debut that new single!
Thanks to everyone who takes time to listen, and I hope you have as much fun listening to this episode as I had recording it! Also, please take this listener survey while you listen to the show. Thanks!
